Phoenix Contact has developed a completely new range of products that is specifically designed for railroad engineering. The slender 6 mm or 14 mm pluggable PLC...RW relay modules from the PLC series are certified according to the DIN EN 50155 VDE 0115 Part 200 railroad standard.
The coupling relay modules boast an extended input voltage range of 70% to 125% x nominal voltage, an enhanced ambient temperature range of -40 ° C to + 70° C as well as special vibration and shock features, and are therefore predestined for use in railroad applications. The relay modules with one or two changeover contacts always come equipped with spring cage connectors and can switch loads up to 250 VAC/10 A.
Wear-free solid state relays in accordance with EN 50155 for loads up to 110 VDC/3 A are also available in the PLC series as an alternative to electromechanical relays.
