In order to satisfy the food industry’s strict hygiene standards, high-grade stainless steel is used in laboratories and by the manufacturers of production plants.

The smooth surfaces offer micro-organisms little opportunity to gain a foothold or multiply, and stainless steel can also be easily cleaned with aggressive agents. This is why all metal components in Phoenix Contact’s new range of sensor/actuator cabling for this industrial sector are now made of stainless steel 1.4404.

The product range includes M12 components as custom-assembly plug connectors and plug-in sockets with protection class IP67 as well as assembled cables with molded-plug connectors and distributor boxes with main distribution cables in the protection classes IP65/67and IP69K.

All the products have been tested and approved for use in the food industry by ECOLAB, the leading provider of professional cleaning and disinfecting systems.
