SummitSkills’ chairman Simon Bartley will be a key speaker at the National Construction Training Conference 2007, joining a selection of influential contributors debating the role of procurement, funding and training for the future needs of a sustainable construction workforce.

In the first national event of its kind, joining Simon among the high-profile selection of speakers will be Rt. Hon Nick Raynsford MP, chair of the Construction Industry Council and Sir Michael Latham, chairman of Construction Skills.  The conference will bring together people working in Government, industry and all sector specific agencies that support construction training.  Delegates will hear the latest best practice from those who have pioneered successful national and local construction training programmes in different parts of the UK, learning how they overcame barriers and highlighting the key drivers of their success.

SummitSkills is encouraging senior policymakers and practitioners in construction training and the industry to attend.  The conference will also be of significant interest to people representing local labour, clients, contractors, trainers and Government.
