The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Europe's largest engineering society, and City & Guilds, the UK's largest awarding body for work-related qualifications, have together produced a new book that will be invaluable in helping candidates prepare for the City & Guilds 2377 exam.

Exam Success: IEE Code of Practice 2377 supports candidates studying the qualification: Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment 2377.

Designed to mirror the style of the online exam, Exam Success includes sample papers with worked-through answers, frequently asked questions, advice from examiners and tips for taking an online exam.

'A tough course'

According to examiner, Peter Tanner, the publication will reinforce the learning and understanding of what can be 'quite a tough course'. He said: "This is an invaluable resource for all candidates studying 2377. It is quite a technical qualification and exams are always daunting - especially if you are very practical, which most electricians are.

"The book covers every element of the exam including a chapter about GOLA - City & Guilds' Global Online Assessment system, which will be of particular benefit to those who haven't taken exams online before."

Nick Canty, publishing director at the IET, said: "This book will be a great resource to candidates taking the 2377 Code of Practice exam and help them to be more prepared for it, giving them the best possible support."
