Two-years after its launch, Legrand has made a number of additions to its popular Synergy wiring accessory range, many of which are targeted at ensuring yet more success in the commercial sector.
One of the key reasons for the success of the range in this sector to date is
that it boasts one of the most flexible grid offerings on the market – an
offering that has now been added to with the inclusion of a multi-way dimmer
unit, timed switch module and a dimmer module for 0-10V ballast fluorescent
light systems.
Uniquely, this latter dimmer integrates both the mains on / off and dimming
functions into a single grid module. The standard multi-way dimmer module also
saves space as a result of its full electronic construction, which runs cool at
what ever level set, allowing use of multiple units within the standard grid
spacing. Its design also provides users with opportunities to save energy in
their lighting designs
Legrand’s market segment manager, Alastair Ramsay commented: “Grid is of
great importance in any commercial environment and by providing a system with
the kind of flexibility that Synergy offers, designers, installers and
electricians have the scope to deliver the widest possible range of functions.”
Available in sizes from 1 to 24-gang, and offered in all the different
Synergy forms, Synergy grid can incorporate a full range of 10AX and 20AX
switches, VDI TV and audio functions, electronic dimmers and time delay
switches. In addition, the grid range was designed to accommodate all of
Legrand’s Mosaic module functions.
The full Synergy range, which was designed to elevate wiring accessories to
must-have style-led status, has a timeless style that will not fall foul of
changing fashion trends. All of its accessories are available in two distinctly
different forms, modern and traditional, both of which are available in a choice
of finishes that cater for ‘warm’ and ‘cool’ design themes.
This design led approach is maintained across the entire range in order to
give a sophisticated and coordinated look that will suit any interior. Legrand’s
attention to design detail can be seen in the range’s instantly recognizable
signature feature – a contoured rocker gives switch-operated accessories a
unique appearance and precision action across the range. In addition, a 3-light
LED display, which is invisible on white products until activated and is a
subtle design feature on decorative products, is used extensively across the
range.

than ever before,” continued Alastair. “In order to keep pace, wiring
accessories have had to evolve to a stage where they are stylish and
sophisticated in operation, and, due to the longevity of their lifespan,
equipped to cope with future developments, new legislative requirements, such as
Part M, and changing design trends.”
