The Electronics Design Centre for Heterogeneous Systems at Glasgow University is a world class facility for electronics research and innovation offering access to CAD resources, fabrication and characterisation all under one roof.
The Centre is seeking highly qualified candidates to under take research leading to the award of a Ph.D. Opportunities are currently available in the following topics:
- Microwave and milli-metre wave integrated circuit and system design
- Electromagnetic modelling and design
- Integrated microsystem technology
- Analogue integrated circuit design
- The impact of nanoCMOS technology on VLSI design
- Biomedical devices and systems
Candidates should possess a 2.1 or first class honours degree in electronics and electrical engineering, physics, computer science, or a cognate discipline. The normal period for study is three years and regulations permit the award of PhD degree within this period. The award covers payment of fees for UK and EU students only and includes a maintenance grant in the range of £12,300 per annum, subject to annual review.
