Legrand is making it easier for architects and house builders to make new homes smarter with its Home Networks range:
Providing simple solutions for structured wiring, this easy-to-install system's modular approach allows telephone, data, video and audio to be distributed through a central source and controlled throughout the home using a Cat 5e and CT100 cable structure. Moreover, with simple 'plug and play' connections adding and changing functions is straightforward.
Telephone modules:
Accepting up to four incoming lines through standard RJ45 sockets, the telephone module enables multiple phone and fax lines to be brought into the home and sent anywhere they are required.
Computer networking & home office modules:
Providing the platform for residential computer networks, Legrand's computer networking modules use five port 10/100 base-T auto-sensing switches to enable high-speed Internet access to be enjoyed on up to five computers around the home. Meanwhile PCs, printers, scanners and other peripheral devices can be accessed and shared from different rooms.
Managing separate telephone, fax and Internet connections, this special home office module allows a virtual office to be set up anywhere in the home.
Video and audio modules:
Legrand video and audio modules allow everything from TV and radio to DVDs and radios to be distributed from a central source to various outlets throughout the home. For added security, camera modules allow homeowners to monitor all areas of the house, images that can be viewed on every TV in the home.
All of these function modules can be added or removed and the open chord cable simply plugged in to reconfigure services to each room without the need to rewire.
