Assistant General Secretary of Unite - Amicus Section, Les Bayliss, has been appointed as Chairman of apprenticeship work-based learning provider JTL.
Les Bayliss, who will continue in his leading role with the Union, takes over the position from Bob Harris and was officially announced as the new Chairman at JTL's recent National Awards ceremony. Bob Harris is retiring as Chairman after four years in the role, but will continue to work with JTL as a member of the Board of Trustees. He also remains at the helm of his family business RT Harris & Son EC Ltd in Oxford. Bayliss comments: "Apprenticeship training is at the heart of the building services engineering sector and has a huge role to play in the future development of skills. I am therefore delighted to be playing a role in this by taking up the position of JTL Chairman."
