The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) is pleased to announce the 100th fire company approval under the NSI’s industry-leading third-party certification scheme for fire detection and alarm companies.

NSI, the first approvals body to introduce the BAFE SP203 Modular Scheme for Fire Protection Systems, can now offer the customer a more extensive choice of contractors for fire detection and alarm systems than any other third-party certification body.

Uny Systems of Storrington, West Sussex, has received NSI Fire Gold approval for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems in accordance to BAFE SP203. NSI approval enables Uny Systems to issue their customers across London and the South East with appropriate certification. This provides customers with evidence that their fire protection systems are fit for purpose and correctly installed and maintained in accordance to the appropriate British Standards.

Roger Agate, Managing Director of Uny Systems, comments: “We are delighted to have achieved this accreditation; it serves to demonstrate both our professionalism and capability whilst enhancing our dedication to customer service in its truest sense.”

Andrew White, NSI Chief Executive, added: “We would like to congratulate Uny Systems on being the 100th approval for NSI’s fire schemes. Achieving this is a significant step for NSI, which vindicates the widespread success of our Fire Gold and Silver schemes in the industry as a robust third-party certification programme.”
