Easy-to-use, the low-cost tester offers the first line of defence in detecting reliable and safe connections by providing basic ground testing methods for 3-pole Fall-of-Potential tests, as well as 2-pole ground resistance.
The rugged, handheld Fluke 1621 can be used to determine a site for a reliable earth ground connection and also as part of a predictive maintenance program to check that existing connections are within tolerance. It features a large, clear LCD display offering intuitive functionality via the user interface. An adjustable ‘limit’ setting instantly alerts the user to measurements outside set limits.
The readings show up clearly in daylight and in poor lighting conditions and values can be captured by a single push of a button. Accurate measurements are ensured thanks to an automatic ‘noise’ voltage detection feature, and a hazardous voltage warning helps protect the user.
The Fluke 1621, and other Earth ground Testers which include the Fluke 1630 Earth Ground Clamp Meter and the high-end, fully-featured Fluke 1623 and 1625 which offer ‘stakeless’ testing, can be purchased from Fluke authorised wholesalers and distributors.
