A conference, sponsored by Fulcrum Consulting, on the topic of global warming in relation to building design and operation will be held on 13 June 2007, The Commonwealth Club, London:

Responding to the challenge of global warming has leapt towards the top of the political agenda in a very short period of time. Because buildings account for 47% of the UK's carbon emissions, the Government sees this as a key sector when it comes to tackling the challenge of lowering our carbon footprint. The Government is consulting on making all homes zero carbon by 2016 but developing a strategy to do this in less than ten years is a massive challenge for everyone in the industry.

This conference will bring together the people creating the legislation and experts who can provide the answers. Focusing on existing projects, delegates will be invited to discuss cost, planning issues and the effect on the future value of buildings looking to future visions of zero carbon communities.
