Cabling for 10gbase-t and beyond - a tangled web

The Cabling Partnership is providing a seminar on 10gbase-t that attempts to summarise the situation and provide appropriate guidance in an open forum:

The Cabling Partnership has resisted entering into the debates surrounding copper cabling solutions which variously claim compliance to 10GBASE-T compliance, Class EA, Augmented Category 6, Category 7A etc.

However, the organisation has recently been inundated by questions from all parts of the supply chain, seeking some degree of clarity. A key problem is that most of the underpinning standards are not published - a throwback to the years before Category 6 was ratified. Another issue that the claims are not necessarily comparable. This raises key issues: what is being offered, what is the customer buying, what are obligations of the installer, how are the suppliers claims to be 'proved' by the installer and finally - who is liable and for what?

The Cabling Partnership has, therefore, decided to create a seminar that attempts to summarise the situation and provide appropriate guidance in an open forum.

Cabling for 10gbase-t and beyond - a tangled web will be held in London on 5th June and in Manchester on 7th June. An application form can be downloaded - this includes a full and detailed agenda.
