OSRAM POWERSTAR® HQI®-T and HQI®-TS lamps illuminate the Spinnaker Tower from top to bottom in white light to give it a beautiful glow that can be seen for miles
The Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth stands at an impressive 170m high and is the centrepiece of the historic harbour; gateway to the English Channel.
From the top of the tower the views are outstanding; on a clear day you can see for 23 miles or more, but they aren’t too bad from the bottom of the tower either. OSRAM POWERSTAR® HQI®-T and HQI®-TS lamps illuminate the tower from top to bottom in white light to give it a beautiful glow that can be seen for miles. Sill Lighting and Equation Lighting teamed up for this landmark project. They needed a compact yet powerful, high quality lamp ideal for outdoor applications so OSRAM POWERSTAR ® HQI ® was the only option. Quartz arc tube technology provides intense light and excellent colour rendering. Mark Hensman from Equation Lighting said: “The quality of lighting is absolutely spot-on and all the test measurements and renderings show it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do”.
