The compact, four-pole changeover switches are available in seven different ratings from 32A to 800A.

A double-break, blade-and-clip, wiping action contact system ensures minimal contact bounce and an operator-independent, spring-assisted, over-centre operating system ensures positive and consistent switching with reduced arcing and contact wear.

Enclosures are sheet steel, finished light grey, with an IP41 rating.  They have black insulated handles with clear  ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ indication.  Door interlocking is provided with the handle in the ‘ON’ position, but can be overridden by a competent operator for inspection and maintenance.   Handles can be padlocked in the ‘OFF’ position.

There is generous cabling space for incoming and outgoing cables and removable gland plates provide easy access. The 32-200A units have cable links while 400A, 630A and 800A units have solid links suitable for use on either side of the switch.

Memlok on-load changeover switches comply with BS EN 60947-3: Specification for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear.  Switches, disconnectors, switch-disconnectors and fuse-combination  units and with VDE 0660.
