23-May-03 - Sixth International Conference on insulated power cables will be held in Paris from 22 to 26 June 2003:
The Societe de 'Electricite, de l'Electronique & des technologies de l'Information et de Ia Communication has launched JICABLE '03, the 6th International Conference on Insulated Power Cables, which will be held at the Palais des Congres conference centre in Versailles, near Paris, from 22 to 26 June 2003.
JICABLE '03 will be the global venue for the world's community of researchers, engineers, manufacturers, installers and users involved in the research, industrial development, installation and operation of insulated power cables and their accessories, from low-voltage and special cables to very high voltage and new technology cables. The last congress, JICABLE '99, was attended by some 600 participants from 40 countries.
An in-depth review:
JICABLE '03 will provide the participants with an in-depth review of the current situation and future prospects regarding new technologies, new materials and improved manufacturing processes, among other things.
All the conferences will be translated into French, English and German, the three official languages of JICAB '03. The principal subjects addressed will be:
- LV and MV Cables and Accessories
- NV and VNV Cables
- Submarine Cables
- Industrial and Special Cables
- Cables and the Environment
- The Cables of the Future
- Dimensioning
- Test Method
- Ageing/Diagnostics, Renewal.
The chairman of the Steering Committee for the Conference is Bruno Thomas of Voltimum Manufacturing Partner Nexans (France).
