NICEIC can take Fast Track applications by phone. Using this process speeds up your application dramatically. One of the organisation's trained customer sales advisors will complete your application for you. By submitting all your details, including details of suitable sites to visit, you will Fast Track to the assessment stage.
You will be approved for the type of work you carry out and remember, tradesmen do not have to be completing full house installations to apply to NICEIC. If you only do additions to existing circuits, then you will be approved for a Defined Scope. If, on the other hand, you do full rewires, then you will be approved for Full Scope.
If you have no formal qualification but you have been doing the job for years you can choose to have your competence assessed on site and become registered. You then have 12 months to obtain a suitable qualification.
