The winning team was the Vodka-ettes (NICEIC Group), which completed the arduous 15-mile course in 5 hours 10 minutes and along the way, answered 29 questions and community chest clues.
Monopoly Challenge sponsors were Flexicon, Super Rod, GET, Glen Dimplex, Good Publicity, Clarion Portfolio, Strategic Dimensions-Technical, Adrem PR & Advertising, Legrand Electric, Crosby Electrical, Newey & Eyre, Newlec, Contactum, HellermannTyton, Philips, MK Electric, Honeywell and SWA.
Each of the teams raised funds for the EEIBA with proceeds expected to top £12,000. And no one went to jail! “We’re exhausted and relieved to finish,” said Julie, a competitor. “What a great way to support our industry’s charity and we’ve learnt so much, not only about London but working as a team with colleagues too!”
