Figures from Hays Building Services show that Low Carbon Consultant status could result in a rise in earnings of up to 10%.
Taken from an article in the Society Guardian, Wednesday 9th May, the figures show that professionals who take the relevant training and examinations to join CIBSE’s register of Low Carbon Consultants (LCCs) could find themselves earning better salaries then fellow colleagues.
Consultants on the register have undertaken a rigorous examination covering the requirements of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and of Part L, they use specific auditable checking procedures to establish compliance and they have their work monitored by CIBSE. Their expertise is further maintained with the knowledge that they operate to a signed code of conduct that requires them to work within their sphere of professional training.
The register has 3 sides: Design, Building management and Simulation.
