The technology of these innovative ceramic high-pressure metal halide lamps is simply brilliant.

Their white light, similar to that of a halogen lamp, shows the surroundings in their natural colours, is very pleasant on the eye and lends a touch of class to the area. As a result it gives people a greater sense of security.

POWERSTAR^® HCI^® TT lamps are available in 70W and 50W versions.

They can be used as straightforward replacement for SON lamps of the same wattage, with no upgrade costs.

They have the same bases, the same outer dimensions and the same light centre lengths, and they operate with the same control gear and ignitors.

Their special white light is suitable for security lighting in combination with CCTV. So it’s ideal for city, street and park lighting, shopping centres, residential areas and for floodlighting buildings.

It’s most important features are:

• White light colour WDL (3000K)
• Good colour rendering R_a>80 (group 1b)
• High luminous efficacy > 90 lm/W E27 (70W) or E40 (150W) screw base
• Operates with normal SON^® control gear and ignitors

The basic unit of PTU 70 is designed for installation in luminaires in combination with 70W metal halide lamps. The additional cable clamp (PTUSR) can be clipped on to make the ECG suitable for remote installation.

The PTU 70 offers the following features and benefits:

•  For operation of all 70W metal halide lamps, including the new POWERBALL^® lamps
• Flicker-free light output
• Up to 50% longer lamp service life
• Up to 20% energy saving compared with CCG
