Test & certification scheme for controls

02.03.2007

Building automation and controls play an important part in reducing energy consumption and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The European Building Automation and Controls Association (eu.bac), together with other European certification bodies, has developed a scheme for assessing and certifying performance of building environmental controls:

With the implementation of different EU-Directives and national regulations requiring better energy performance in buildings, the forthcoming eu.bac certification scheme should be of great value to the industry, and the first product group covered in the scheme are individual zone controllers.

As part of its commitment to help manufacturers comply with current regulations, BSRIA Test Laboratory is working in partnership with the UK certification body ASTA BEAB, eu.bac, and other European organisations in supporting the scheme.
