When Total Register Machines, a leading UK manufacturer of finishing equipment for the printing and converting industries, reviewed its enclosure specifications, it was looking for versatility, quality and value. It found exactly what it needed with products from Sarel.
Equipment produced by Total Register Machines ranges from off-line finishing systems, which apply holographic foils to pre-printed materials and typically cost hundreds of thousands of pounds, to much less costly add-on units for existing plant, which use a patented process to economise on foil usage.
Enclosure requirements vary greatly according to the type of machine, but Total Register Machines wanted a single supplier that could provide high-quality, cost-effective products to meet all of those requirements. After carefully evaluating the products offered by major enclosure suppliers, Total Register Machines decided that Sarel, a brand of Schneider Electric, was the company best able to meet its needs.
The customer was particulary impressed by Sarel’s Spacial 6000 range of modular enclosure systems and the Spacial 3D range of sheet-steel enclosures.
"One of the things we really like about these enclosures is that they fit together so easily," said Alan Chandler, a director of Total Register Machines. "The enclosure components and the fixing holes always line up accurately first time. We never have to struggle to make things fit, as has often happened in the past with enclosures from other suppliers."
