The vision of the smart home is far from being just a fad, the technology is becoming more affordable and accessible, and growth in intelligent home controls is accelerating.
With this in mind, Martin Barker Electrical Ltd. will be displaying to the public an array of Schneider Electric intelligent home equipment at the Ideal Home exhibition (stand P62) being held at the Bournemouth International Centre – 31st August to 3rd September. Paving the way for all kinds of residential developments, this forward thinking electrical company can now offer residents sophisticated, affordable home networking and entertainment systems.
Visitors will be able to see how Intelligent Home Control (IHC), from the Square D brand of Schneider Electric, can be used to perform highly practical security and safety functions such as controlling lights and curtains, automatically shutting off water supply in the event of a leak, raising the alarm if there is a break-in and even sending you a phone message if there is a gas leak.
From the Clipsal brand of Schneider Electric, the C-Bus range will be on display. This user-friendly system allows you to control all the electrical devices in your home from just one point. One touch can control the lighting scenes that welcome you home and turn everything off when you go to bed.
Also on display will be the LexCom home system which keeps together all your TV, broadband and telephone services and the ULTI range of lighting accessories which lets you use a remote control to alter lighting mood settings.
Rob Haines of Martin Barker Electrical commented “Smart home technology is rapidly becoming an accessible reality and an important part of people’s modern lifestyles. We are delighted to be working with Schneider Electric in bringing improved security, safety and added value to Bournemouth homes”.
