The
National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (
NICEIC) had a partnership with
Voltimum Media Partner publications
Electrical Review, Electrical Times and
European Power News, as organisers of the
Electrical Industry Awards 2006, and as joint hosts of the
NICEIC.
Up to 1,200 of the top people from within the UK electrical industry attended, including government representatives, industry dignitaries and leading people from electrical contracting, trade and press.
This sparkling and major evening in the UK electrical calendar offered the opportunity to celebrate all that is good within the industry, and to join senior staff from the NICEIC in celebrating the future.
The Awards:
The NICEIC and Electrical Industry Awards were designed to recognise excellence in the electrical contracting, electrical engineering, power industry and related industries, whilst celebrating the achievements of NICEIC over the past 50 years as it relates to the industry today, whilst predicting what tomorrow may hold.
Focusing on yesterday, today, tomorrow, the range of awards covers the whole industry and entries are welcomed from contractors, manufacturers, training providers, wholesalers and the supporting industry.
The awards were open to all businesses whether large or small, and the winners should gain through obtaining, for example, industry recognition, and all winners will also be profiled in the Winter edition of the NICEIC Connections magazine, which is distributed to nearly 40,000 leading electrical contractors, specifiers and other industry bodies across the UK.
Voltimum UK won the Outstanding Communications Within The Electrical Industry Award (supported by Yell.com), which was received by Voltimum UK MD Margaret Fitzsimons. Second was Learning Lounge.
