Philips is pleased to extend its Twistline mains voltage halogen range. The 40w aluminium reflector lamp version with its GU10 base is now available.
It compliments the existing 50w lamp which has a choice of either dichroic or aluminium reflector with its corresponding lamp base of GZ10 and GU10 respectively.
These easy to use lamps offer all the sparkle and compactness of halogen reflector lamps but without the need for transformers. This makes them ideal for use in the home as well as for such applications such as hotels, bars and restaurants. Electrical connection is made simple by the design construction of the extra sturdy 2 pin lamp base. This allows the lamp to be secured into corresponding luminaire sockets by an easy twist and rotate motion. With an average life of 2000 hours the lamps can also be dimmed thereby creating the desired ambience according to mood.
As a result of the popularity of the Twistline range, Philips has developed its portfolio of mains voltage lamps still further with the introduction of Clickline. Based on the same principle of ‘ plug and play’ simplicity, the Clickline capsule gives double the lifetime of a standard GLS lamp in just one tenth of the size. The G9 ‘click in’ pins make Clickline just as easy to use as GLS with the added benefit of being 15% more efficient. The lamp is available in 40w and 60w versions and is offered in both clear and frosted finishes for a softer effect. Both Twistline and its little sister, Clickline, have a UV block burner providing a safe end of life. Both can be used in open luminaires according to IEC 598-1 making them ideal for discreet innovative lighting solutions in domestic and professional applications.
