Job Title: Key Account Manager

Reporting To: UK Distribution Channel Manager

Job Function: To be directly responsible for allocated ET (electrical wholesaler) channel and other accounts in the UK. Effectively sell new equipment, thereby maximizing revenue potential for the single phase product group. Ensuring achievement of individual single phase sales target through planning, implementation, monitoring, control and corrective action via your business account plan, which can be quarterly or yearly as required. The person must be able to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach when dealing with both internal and external customers.

Duties include but not limited to:

Key Tasks:

1.1 Continually grow the allocated ET accounts and any new accounts.
1.2 Achieve revenue targets as agreed with Distribution Manager and Director of Sales.
1.3 Work with customer’s to plan actions well ahead of there required implementation date, this must be relevant to each account and should be weekly or monthly or a mixture of the two.
1.4 Achieve quarterly targets as agreed with Distribution Manager and Director of Sales
1.5 Continually increase brand awareness within accounts for single and three phase product solutions
1.6 Promote MGE products and services within the accounts.
1.7 Maximize customer satisfaction at all times.
1.8 Continually aim to reduce time required for new account actions, customer approvals required and generally time to implement.
1.9 Produce reports on time i.e. monthly/quarterly or yearly as requested.
1.10 Co-ordinate with ET distribution key account managers as applicable.
1.11 Co-ordinate with international ET channel managers as applicable.
1.12 Co-ordinate with MGE employees who come into contact with your accounts to ensure first class support/interaction is maintained.
1.13 Maintain first class business relationships with UK KEY ET Channel Accounts.
1.14 To grow the business by adding several new contacts per month, aim to average a minimum call rate of 10 clients per week.
1.15 Review/appoint/monitor allocated ET Channel Accounts revenue spend.
1.16 Effectively manage allocated ET Channel Accounts conferences/promotional days.
1.17 Liaise with UK Distribution Channel Manager to ensure items required for account development are relevant, delivered on time and add value whilst being cost affective.
1.18 Plan for business growth, define possible targets, attack and monitor against business plan’s.
1.19 Observe all Health and Safety directives including the use of the personal protective equipment and carry out his/her duties in a way not to put himself/herself or anyone else or property at risk/danger.
1.20 To immediately escalate to Managing Director any situation, injuries or potentially injurious to the health of any member of staff, customer or supplier or to the good of the MGE name.
1.21 Keep product knowledge up to current standards and keep up to date with modern techniques.
1.22 Seek and promote cost effective solutions to the problems the company encounters within hour responsibilities.
1.23

Maintain customer database to increase market share and revenue to the company.

Skills

  • Hold a minimum electrical engineering and IT qualification of HNC or equivalent.
  • Proven Sales Experience.
  • Computer Literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentations).
  • Excellent level of commercial awareness (cost control and additional sales opportunities).
  • Demonstrate self leadership
  • Health and Safety training experience.
