Kopex International have gained third party certification from the BSI (British Standards Institution), making them fully compliant with the new International standard IEC 61386 (BS EN 61386). Kopex is, globally, the first company in this field to achieve Kitemark certification to this standard.

Replacing the existing EN 50086 European flexible conduit systems standard, Kitemark certification to the new International IEC 61386 (BS EN 61386) standard demonstrates that Kopex products meet performance specifications including fatigue life; operating temperature; non-flame propagation and many other criteria. The BSI Kitemark is internationally respected as a symbol of quality, safety and trust.
Customers in the food processing, healthcare, hazardous area, MOD and all other specialist markets can now specify Kopex conduit with the assurance that it has received independent third party IEC 61386 (BS EN 61386) Kitemark certification. Other suppliers may only be self-certified rather than having the assurance of an independent third party.
The IEC 61386 (BS EN 61386) standard will fully replace EN 50086 by 2007. Full details of the Kopex range certified to the new standard and information on testing parameters can be obtained from the Marketing Department (see contact details below).
