The next Light+Building Fair runs from 23 to 27 April 2006 in Frankfurt am Main. The innovative concept of Light+Building can be gathered from the programme of events. This programme of events at Light+Building
2006 includes the following:
Building Performance Congress - Well researched, close to practical needs and success oriented: the International Building Performance Congress is the parallel highlight to Light+Building.
Luminale - Luminale takes the themes of lighting and architecture featured at Light+Building and brings them to the City.
Outlook - Architectural Elements - For the first time, this year's Light+Building will focus on aspects of building equipment in a special show that will examine product groups capable for being used in the context of buildings and interior fittings.
Architecture + Technology Award 2006 - The Architecture + Technology Award is presented in recognition of projects which combine exemplary architectural design with innovative engineering.
Design Plus - Design Plus is a competitive award for outstanding product design among exhibitors at Light+Building.
Prize for Innovation in Architecture and Engineering - Following the impressive success of previous Architecture and Technology Prizes, which are presented annually either at Light+Building or ISH, this competition will be held again.
Lights of the future - This prize, to be awarded at Light+Building 2006, is given for innovative, energy-saving lights, which - in addition - represents a high standard of design.
Daylight Forum - Under the direction of Günther Volz Dipl.Ing., FiTLicht, together with other partners, will be holding a series of workshops.
'New Technology for Testing' Workshop Line - At the Workshop Line, mainly young trade visitors and apprentices from the electrical-engineering trade will gain more knowledge.
Meeting point for the Future - Meeting Point for the Future is a special facility set up by Messe Frankfurt to encourage new entrants to the professions.
Light-in-Architecture Award - The goal of this competition is to stimulate awareness and interest in innovative architectural designs that make use of daylight and artificial light.
Safety at work seminars for trainee electricians - Accident prevention and safety at work are important subjects for trainees, too. Participants will be given purposeful information on the subject.
Light & Health lectures - With representatives of BDIA and INQA in the chair, the following experts will lecture on and discuss the subjects of light and health.
The opening hours of Light+Building 2006 are, from 23 - 26 April daily (09:00 am to 06:00 pm), and on 27 April, from 09.00 am to 05:00 pm.
