MGE UPS Systems has announced the launch of 'Personal Solution Pac 3.0 for Linux'. This is thought to be the first complete power management software solution for Linux:

The MGE UPS Systems Personal Solution Pac software, designed for local IT applications, gives users information on parameters such as equipment power consumption and remaining battery life. It also manages automatic and smooth system shutdowns.
Darrell Smithson, Director of Sales for MGE UK comments, "The Linux version of Personal Solution Pac 3.0 is easy to install and operate. Its features include user-friendly graphic interfaces, automatic detection of UPSs connected, USB and serial communication, use of native distribution systems for software installation and updating, a taskbar icon for easy access to the supervision interface and a graphical pop-up windows for fast access to alarms.
The NUT Initiative:
Already a major contributor to the NUT (Network UPS Tools) initiative (http://eu1.networkupstools.org) since 2001, MGE UPS Systems became the initiative leader in 2005. MGE provides UPS system support through partnerships with the key players in the Linux world: Debian, Mandriva (technology partner), Silver Technology, Novell SUSE and Redhat Ready.
