A look at the future with joint NICEIC / Voltimum seminars

NICEIC

The NICEIC, in association with Voltimum and its manufacturing partners, is to host four technical seminars that explore advancements in technology and products that have shaped the past 50 years of the electrical industry, and innovations that will shape its future. Concurrent will be a Voltimum Expo:

The first two in this series of seminars will take place at the Royal Society Welcome Trust in London and the Cardiff Millennium Stadium on 28 and 30 March respectively.

Primarily but not exclusively aimed at electrical contractors and specifiers, these NICEIC technical seminars will cover developments in technology past and present - power saving, smart buildings, the affects of changes to legislation on the construction industry and future trends in electrical installations. Delegates will have the opportunity to debate issues raised during the sessions with a panel of technical experts.

Well-known presenters:

Presenters include former BBC radio presenter Dave Austin of The Facility; Ian Hoskings from Scientific Generics, a leading international development, technology licensing and strategic management company; and former land economist and chartered surveyor Dr Angus McIntosh, the head of research for residential and commercial property consultants King Sturge.

Additional dates and venues:

Technical seminars will also take place at the Glasgow Science Centre on 30th October and The Think Tank, Birmingham on 1st November.

Other 50th Anniversary events:

As part of the NICEIC 50th Anniversary, the NICEIC will be hosting industry briefings, charity golf days, producing commemorative publications, in addition to hosting its first ever industry awards in September. Details of these activities and events are available on www.niceic-50.com.

Voltimum Expo:

The Voltimum Expo, which runs alongside the seminars, will provide delegates with an opportunity to view new products and discuss technical issues with Voltimum manufacturing partners including ABB, Adaptaflex, Applied Energy, Dimplex, Draka, Kew Technik, Legrand, MGE UPS Systems, Mita Cable Management, MK Electric, Nexans, Osram, Philips, Prysmian, Schneider, Spit and Vent-Axia.
