The FLASHTRAB compact from Phoenix Contact combines both lightning and surge protection in one device making it easier for Contractors and Specifiers to select the correct product for Mains Power Supply applications.
The DIN rail mounted unit is easy and simple to maintain using pluggable protection modules without disconnecting the wiring, saving costly installation and downtime. A mechanical keying system on the modules can be used for added security.
Additionally the units are all fitted with a volt free changeover contact to allow remote indication of the state of the unit in the event of a device failure or removal.
The FLASHTRAB compact range combines Lightning protection, T1 category (10/350µS) curve, with Surge protection T2 category (8/20µS) curve, in one base unit measuring just 140mm wide. FLASHTRAB compact meets IEC 62305 part 4, anticipated to be introduced in the UK in 2007.
