It's very important for us to meet current and new users in person, so the Voltimum Team participates in many industry related events throughout the UK.
Below you can see a brief overview of where you may have caught up with us around the country…and don’t forget to look out for us in 2006!
Electrcial Roadshow – March 2006 – Sandown
Hosted by CMP Information, this one-day show was very lively and Voltimum managed to meet more new users who wanted to join the site.
The show is great for discovering all the latest developments in mechanical and electrical contracting.
OSRAM and Prysmian help out the Voltimum team on the day, and they got to meet some of the users of their products.
ABB Contractor Day – March 2006
ABB kindly invited Voltimum to a contractor morning they were holding at a wholesalers in Bristol in March 2005.
Voltimum find these events very useful due to the people they meet at the trade counters because it is always a great to spread the word about Voltimum.
Pictured left is ABB with their E-Pack range which they were demonstrating for the day.
A great day was had by all and the bacon butties were marvellous…by far the best so far!
OSRAM Contractor Days – April 2006
Our quest moved on in April and OSRAM kindly invited the Voltimum team to join them on the contractor days they were holding at wholesalers throughout the UK.
We managed to get to two events with OSRAM in April where they were in the throws of giving away a Mini Cooper in their Powerball competition.

We met some really great characters on these days again cementing our beliefs that it is great to meet the users of the website.
M & E Building Services Event 2005 – November 2005
One of our main events of the year was attending the M & E Building Services Event at Earls Court in London on November 23rd and 24th 2005.
Voltimum were one of the main sponsors of this event along with other Voltimum partners including the NICEIC, ECA, The IEE and the ECA. Voltimum could really see the benefit of this show to its visitors, which is why we gave it our full support, as well as others such as ABB, MK and Legrand who were all exhibiting.
This was a great event and incorporated many new ideas for exhibitions. Seminars, meetings and courses where held throughout this 2 day event making it not only a product only exhibition, but a valuable learning experience for all.
At the event, Draka, OSRAM, Prysmian and Dimplex all helped out on the stand and where influential in Voltimum welcoming its 36.000th user, Tony Bishop. Tony was glad to win a bag of goodies donated by the manufacturers and also meet the VoltiGIRLS.

ELEX 2005 – Sandown, December 2006
Our last event of the year proved very fruitful and was one the highlights for Voltimum.
Yet another 2 day event saw hundreds of contractors fill the halls at Sandown where Voltimum were there to meet potential new users of the website and help people sign up to the website. Draka and Prysmian were on hand again to help us with this process.
ABB, Kew Technik and ITW SPIT were some of our partners exhibiting also, and I’m sure they enjoyed meeting you all too!
