A question often addressed to the NICEIC Helpline concerns the Recommendation Code that should be assigned when, during a periodic inspection of an electrical installation, it is found that there is no supplementary protection against direct contact for a socket-outlet or a circuit which could be used to supply portable equipment for use outdoors.
