There has been a recent dramatic increase in the use of mains-powered electrical equipment in domestic gardens. Such equipment is no longer just electrically powered garden tools (mowers, hedge trimmers etc), but now also includes just about everything from garden lighting and heating, electric poolside and pond equipment to electric barbeques. All these pose a potential hazard, need weather-proof wiring accessories, as well as RCD-protected sockets.
