There’s a new ‘space age’ in bathroom warmth and style with the launch of the Apollo radiant towel rails from Dimplex that give a ‘two in one’ combination of efficient heating with towel warming.

Ideal for larger bathrooms where conventional towel rails are unable to meet the heating need, and where contemporary style and aesthetics are key, the Apollo provides good looks with practical 1kW or 1.5kW outputs.
The high degree of body warming comfort and ambient heating is due to the innovative radiant heat elements that have no visible glow and are concealed behind a trendy protective grille, edged with a trim frame and rounded corners. Towels can be hung on the two fixed rails mounted near the top of the heater for drying practicality and towel warming luxury.
The towel rails are designed for use in bathrooms and other wet areas such as kitchens, cloakrooms or en-suite showers, as they are splashproof, with an IPX4 rating. An electronic thermostat provides accurate room temperature control and there’s an optional 7-day programmer available.
For installations where central control over the heating system is specified, the Apollo is also pilot wire compatible and can be used with the Dimplex 1 or 2 zone MBS central control systems. This means they can operate as part of a whole house heating system, alongside other Dimplex heaters such as the DuoHeat radiator or EVX/SPX panel heaters.
The Apollo has a durable white polyester powder coated steel finish and comes with a standard warranty of two years. Both models are slimline, with a depth of just 90mm, a width of 440mm. The 1kW APL100 is 830mm high and the height increases to 1040 for the more powerful 1.5kW APL1500 model.
