“Simply no safer way of fixing to steel and concrete.” That’s how electrical contractors are describing the Spit Pulsa 700E cordless nailer. Bristling with designed-in safety features, The Pulsa 700E makes a wide variety of fixing tasks not only quicker and more efficient bit also safer and less strenuous. Pulsa 700E will tackle a wide variety of jobs around site but is particularly suited to:

  • Fixing cables
  • Fixing conduits
  • Fixing cappings
  • Cable installation: time savings of around 50% are easily achievable

Training to be the best

With training courses on safe and efficient use of the Pulsa 700E also available from ITW Construction Products, the tool is the only cordless nailer to be endorsed by the Construction Industry Training Board.

ITW is committed to the training and development of companies, teams and individuals. The company offers Pulsa safety training courses to stockists and contractors branches across the UK – subject to health and safety requirements. The courses cover the safe use and maintenance of gas operated tools and also include the design, application and use of a range of fixing and fastening products. As well as comprehensive theory, all ITW training modules include an opportunity for some hands on practical training. In addition, ITW also offers contractor training on site where appropriate.

Less strain – more efficiency

From a health and safety viewpoint, using the Spit Pulsa 700E to tackle a wide variety of jobs around site is simply less arduous, thanks to the tool’s intelligent, ergonomic design. Despite offering a powerful 100 joules of energy, making it the perfect tool for tackling a wide variety of substrates, the Pulsa 700E requires a mere 5kg of actuation force to move the head 16mm to its firing position making even overhead working virtually effortless. The tool itself weighs just 3.6kg weight and has been designed to balance perfectly at typical work positions.

Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) ratings have been kept to an absolute minimum allowing contractors to work longer in total safety, often without the need for risk assessment. Full details of the tools’ HAV rating and safe working can be found on the attached document.

Safety comes as standard

In addition, the Spit Pulsa 700E also features a number of important built-in safety features. The integral fan not only provides the tool with the optimum fuel mix for efficient nailing, it also keep the fan cool, preventing jams and costly delays on site. When actuation pressure is applied, the Pulsa 700E’s fan will activate, alerting the user to the fact that the tool is primed, preventing it being used inadvertently

Its quick-charge battery can be simply disconnected when not in use to make the tool completely safe while a light shows on the tool to indicate when the battery is active.

ITW has also launched a pole tool for the Pulsa 700E which allows overhead working up to 2.4 metres high without the need for ladders, scaffolding or stagings, making the whole process quicker and safer.
