Voltimum UK & Ireland is using The Electrical Show at Interbuild 2004 to announce the launch of its new and highly functional Technical Expertise Universe. This is only the beginning of an area which will become a very important port of call for electrical contractors and other members of the electrical industry to find out more about the important electrical issues of the day.

Voltimum UK is very proud of this very valuable resource that, it believes, is unique in the electrical industry. Voltimum’s Technical Expertise Universe gives users direct access to the technical experts of many of the UK's leading manufacturing companies. Nowhere else can users, such as electrical contractors, gain access to so much experience and expertise in one place.

The Technical Expertise part of Voltimum UK brings together some of the UK electrical industry's most experienced personnel so that users can ask their advice (Expert Advice), get answers to common technical questions (FAQs), share experiences with their
professional peers (Forum) and gain a good understanding of burning electrical industry issues (Hot Topics). The Overview explains all this in brief.

The Forum has been subdivided into product categories and, each month, at least one new hot topic will be added to it. Users can start their own ‘threads’ too, using the Forum to get in touch with their peers and Voltimum experts.

In FAQs, users will find a compilation of questions that are asked time and again at the technical help desks of Voltimum’s manufacturing partners. Users can see if their questions have been answered before they ask the expert directly.

Every month, Voltimum tackles one important industry issue and lets users know about it in the monthly Electronic Newsletter. The information on the issue concerned and all related
research will then be posted into the Technical Expertise Universe’s Hot Topic area so as to provide a central reference point for information.

At a later stage, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) will be added to Voltimum UK’s Technical Expertise Universe. The information presented will count towards CPD points.

Voltimum’s Technical Expertise Universe experts will be on hand on stand 11 – E13 at Interbuild 2004 to show the new area to current and potential users alike using online PCs and, to mark the launch, Voltimum will also be holding a series of mini-seminars on this  stand throughout the show.  Each day will be devoted to a different topic, and each will be presented by one of Voltimum’s Technical Experts. The topics and days at Interbuild 2004 are:  Sunday - Tooling, Monday - Wiring Accessories, Tuesday - Switchgear, and Wednesday - Cable & Thursday Lighting.
