A new technology and demonstration centre has been opened by ABB in its Daresbury, Greater Manchester, offices. This is the first facility of its kind presented by ABB in Europe. It is designed to provide customers and other visitors with the opportunity to see examples from the company's range of products at close quarters.

The centre includes displays of the wide range of ABB products and equipment from small components to drives, motors, switchgear and even street lighting equipment. The products are supported by multimedia presentation and meeting facilities.

'Sets ABB apart':

According to Trevor Gregory, MD of ABB Limited, "It is not always easy for people to get their minds around the vast array of products and services we offer through our Automation Technologies and Power Technologies businesses. This centre not only provides the ability to get close and hands-on but enables us to show how our unique approach to innovation and sustainability sets ABB apart from others in the market place."

In the coming months ABB will be hosting a series of customer visits, industry seminars and other events in the new centre.
