New sheet steel and stainless steel enclosures offer increased ingress protection at a lower list price than other manufacturers’ IP41 enclosures

ABB’s new range of three and four pole enclosed load break/switchfuses from 20 to 800A enables installers to specify a robust IP65 rated metal enclosure, totally protected against the ingress of dust and low pressure water jets, for less than the cost of most basic IP41 enclosures. The enclosed switches, available in either powder coated sheet steel or stainless steel enclosures, are ideally suited for a wide variety of applications such as: safety switch, local isolator, main switch, motor control switch, emergency switch, combination switch.

All switchfuses are double break to provide complete fuse isolation when in the off position. A padlockable pistol grip operating handle, which can accept up to three padlocks – essential for permit to work, is fitted as standard on the ABB enclosed switches and all three pole switches include a detachable neutral link. Switches up to 63A are IP20 rated (load break up to 160A) while switches over 100A have shrouds fitted to incoming terminals (load break 200A and above). All switchfuses are supplied complete with fuses.
