Event entry for 23 September 2004 – the 2004 Merlin Gerin ECA and SELECT Golf tournament:
The 19th Merlin Gerin / ECA / SELECT golf tournament has once again proved extremely successful with over 600 contestants taking part. ECA member John Savage (Ireland) took the contractors cup, with trophies also going to ECA member's guest Jim Carragher (Greater London) and Merlin Gerin Distributor Evan London (North East).
The event was supported by David Dennison past president of the ECA and Hamish McDonald the president of SELECT who also assisted with the prize giving.
This years tournament will be taking place over 12 regional events, which include one new course: The De Vere Mottram Hall (Northwest). The final will also be held once again at The Hawkstone Park (Shropshire).
The dates of the events are as follows:
- Greater London - Westerham - Tues 8th June.
- South East - Slinfold - Thurs 10th June.
- Ireland - Hilton - Tues 15th June.
- Scotland - Longcliffe - Thurs 24th June.
- East Midlands - Westerwood - Tues 22nd June.
- South West - Wedmore - Tues 6th July.
- South - Marlborough - Thurs 8th July.
- North West - Mottram Hall - Thurs 15th July.
- East - Gog Magog - Tues 20th July.
- South Wales - Newport - Thurs 22nd July.
- Final - Hawkstone Park - Tues/Wed 22nd/23rd Sep.
