Eaton MEM 250 has extended its Energy-Link cable management range with a new three-compartment cable trunking system for use in offices, hospitals, schools and colleges, laboratories and workshops.
Manufactured from high-impact thermoplastic material, the new ‘3CT’ trunkingrange offers three fully segregated compartments for power, data and communications cables, or any other combination of services which need to be segregated. Each compartment has its own clip-on lid providing safe and easy access to compartments, combined with effective enclosure. The lower compartment incorporates a built-in cable retainer to simplify installation.
3CT trunking is available in four different profiles to suit different installation needs, for example Profile 1 has bevelled top and bottom lids making it ideal for dado applications while Profile 2 has a bevelled top lid and square bottom lid, more suited to skirting applications. The other two profiles offer square top and bottom compartment lids or a square top lid and bevelled bottom lid. All use a common base section and just three lid profiles cover the entire system making for interchangeable and a minimum of different part numbers.
The trunking is ideal for use with the Eaton MEM Sensa wiring accessories. These include traditional flush plates in white moulded or metal finishes, and the modern Ultra flat plate range of wiring accessories. Eaton MEM 250 wiring acessory ranges all include telephone, data and TV/FM outlets as well as normal mains voltage wiring accessories. This results in a smart co-ordinated appearance when used in the new 3CT trunking.
The range of fittings includes single-gang and two-gang accessory boxes that fit neatly into the centre compartment allowing cable entry from either compartment with space for other cables to pass behind the box. In-line couplers, external bends, internal bends and end caps are available for each profile. Couplers are self-aligning and external bends incorporate internal segregators that improve alignment and retention. Also included in the range are fabricated 900 flat angles and flat tee’s in each of the 4 profiles.
In addition to the standard white finish, 3CT cable trunking is available in 180 RAL colours (as is the Ultra range of flat plate wiring accessories) and in four decorative finishes (wood burl, wood grain, pine and white marble.) This enables interior designers to coordinate the finish with other aspects of the interior decor.
