Heating market leader Dimplex is again expanding the UK’s widest range of heat pumps with the launch of the new LA PMS medium temperature range of air source units.

Available in 8 or 14kW capacities, the single phase LA PMS offers variable water flow temperatures of up to 65°C, weather compensated, making it the perfect choice where a complete domestic
heating and hot water solution is required.
The range can be used either as the sole
heating
source, or in ‘bivalent’ mode to supplement an existing
heating system, and is ideal for installations where higher
heating temperatures are required, or for the efficient production of stored hot water.
Designed for outdoor installation, the range features a corrosion-resistant stainless steel inner frame and powder coated outer housings for robust weatherproofing. Extensive sound insulation and
air deflector hoods minimise noise emissions, making the LA PMS ideal for installation in residential areas.
To maximise
energy efficiency, an
energy optimised auto adaptive defrost cycle has been incorporated, while to minimise environmental impact, the range uses R290, a naturally-occurring refrigerant with GWP of 3.
The higher output 14kW model is fitted with twin compressors for high capacity output and a choice of two performance capacities, and intelligent switching between compressors has been incorporated to maximise compressor life. Additionally, to reduce wear and tear, an electronic soft start function reduces starting current loads.
Suitable for use with underfloor heating,
Dimplex SmartRad fan convection radiators, or conventional radiator systems, the LA PMS is supplied complete with wall-mounted WPM
heat pump manager. Alternatively, to make specification, purchase and installation even easier, the range is available in
heat pump packs, which contain everything required for most common domestic
heat pump applications.
