Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, has announced the launch of its innovative phone application, SoMove Mobile. Designed to allow customers to use their mobile phone to adjust and configure variable speed drives, the application is an ideal tool for commissioning and maintenance teams.
The software works in conjunction with Bluetooth® wireless connectivity already found on mobile phones and connects to a range of Schneider Electric’s variable speed drives. The application has been designed with OEMs and end users in mind, allowing them to easily configure drives remotely, offering maximum flexibility. Available as a free download, once installed the application gives users the freedom to remotely exchange configuration or diagnostic files via a number of channels – MMS, email or local exchange, Bluetooth or USB. This can lead to significant time savings for both the installation and maintenance teams. SoMove Mobile is fully compatible with SoMove PC software and has been developed to work with a range of phones, including popular brands such as Sony, Nokia and Blackberry. SoMove Mobile’s easy to use interface means that it can be utilised by all personnel involved in setting up, maintaining and operating a drive and is a key tool for de-bugging and setting parameters.
