Wilts, the UK’s largest independent electrical wholesaler, has announced the completion of its third Management Academy. In conjunction with Forty2 training and supported by MK Electric, this year’s Academy has proved hugely successful once again with nine graduates.
Despite the current economic climate, the Trowbridge-based company remained committed to promoting employee development once again by continuing the Management Academy, launched for the first time in 2007. Open to all of Wilts’ 500+ employees, the 2011 programme enabled members to develop and progress their careers within the company, guiding them through modules including leadership, customer service, sales, employee relations and law.
Wilts HR Director Ruth Ovens said; “There is a great deal of competition for places at the Academy and feedback only serves to highlight the desire within our workforce to develop and further their careers. We would like to congratulate this year’s delegates on a fantastic year and look forward to a bright future working with them.”
