Wilts, the UK’s largest independent electrical wholesaler, has announced it has been awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Gold Medal Award for the third consecutive year.
Now the recipients of the Gold Award for the seventh year and the outstanding Gold Medal Award for the third, Wilts had to produce a folder showing its health and safety policies and structure, proving it is a workplace putting safety and care at the top of its agenda. Employing over 500 people across over 60 outlets, Wilts is very conscious that it needs to actively educate the workforce to hold safety and care as a top priority for the business to function.
Nigel Arbury, Wilts’ Fleet and Facilities Manager said; “To keep on gaining recognition for the standard of our work safety policies is incredibly motivating and rewarding. We know as a business that we need to make sure all staff are protected and cared for in order to stay accident free. It is vital as well for the nature of our business. We hold it as our top priority and we are delighted that our work gets recognised year after year.“
