The IET's Wiring Regulations - current edition BS7671:2008 (17th Edition) - has been implemented since mid-2008. Now, the 17th Edition has had its first amendment. This was finalised in July 2011, and these important changes will come into force in January 2012. Voltimum UK Managing Editor James Hunt introduces the topic:
