Ideal for use in conjunction with Telemecanique's Twido entry-level programmable controllers, with which they offer close and easy integration, Magelis XBTN HMI terminals by Telemecanique have list prices which start at under £100. For a limited period, however, users can benefit from an even more attractive offer. Starter kits are available which include a Magelis XBTN terminal, a Twido PLC, connecting cables, software and tutorials for new users.

As the price of the complete starter kit is around half that of the items purchased separately, this offer provides an ideal opportunity for designers to experience for themselves the power and ease-of-use of the latest entry-level automation products from the Telemecanique brand.

Magelis XBTN HMI terminals require a panel cut-out just 119mm wide x 63mm high, allowing them to fit into even the tightest spaces.

A perfect match:

The terminals are available in versions to display either two lines of 20 characters, or four lines of 20 characters. Various combinations of function keys and LEDs are also provided, depending on the model, making the units a perfect match for the requirements of virtually all low-end applications. Magelis XBTN terminals can be easily adapted with out-of-the-box customisation, and a flush mount is also available for added flexibility.

The innovative and highly ergonomic design of Magelis XBTN HMI terminals brings further benefits, including a backlight that can be programmed to switch between red, green and amber to distinguish, for example, between operational, warning and alarm messages. Password protection is built-in to prevent unauthorised uploading of programs, and full support if provided for multilingual operation.

Truly comprehensive:

Also available is a new Lite version of the programming package, which is specifically designed for use with text-only products, such as the new Magelis XBTN. Both the full and Lite programming packages are easy to use, with features such as application wizards and off-line simulation.

Part of the truly comprehensive family of HMI products available from the Telemecanique brand, which cover every requirement up to and including full-blown SCADA applications, Magelis XBTN terminals are fully compatible with standard Magelis programming software. This makes it easy for users to migrate their solutions to larger products, should the need arise, and thus provides a high degree of future proofing.
