This new video is a remake of our 2000 production "Domestic Distribution" and essentially serves as a practical installation guide interspersed with core requirements of the 17th Edition.
Produced in association with Schneider Electric, this video looks at the heart of a domestic installation, the consumer unit. You will see the types available and select one for this home and then install suitable circuit protection for the circuits which have been installed.
The broad list of contents this remake includes (in no particular order):

· How to meet the requirements for Additional Protection by RCD,
· How to meet the Amendment One requirements for Surge Protection
· Ensuring the IP integrity for cable entry points

· An explanation of diversity, include the 1.8 multiplier for Fluorescents

· Show good practice for stripping and terminating cables using a torque screwdriver
