Philips celebrates 120 years of meaningful innovations
Philips was founded 120 years ago this month. On May 15th, 1891, Gerard Philips and his father, Frederik, registered Philips & Co as a light bulb company that quickly became a leading innovative company in Europe. Within a few short years Philips was producing not only light bulbs but a whole range of products derived from lighting technology. Today, we are constantly striving to create products that will help people live better.
