“We are delighted to open our new showroom and training facility” comments Lee Nurse, Marketing Director, Vent-Axia. “We have created a clean, fresh and professional area for customers and prospective customers to feel at ease and see our extensive Lo-Carbon range of technology solutions for ventilation, heating and cooling applications. Meantime, the opening of our BPEC approved centre allows us to increase the scope of education that we provide. This will help create a skilled workforce to benefit both our company and the wider industry.”

The BPEC course offered by Vent-Axia is designed to meet the requirements outlined in the Domestic Ventilation Compliance Guide 2010 for the installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and provision of information for fixed domestic systems for both new and existing residential buildings.

Derek Gow, Group Sales Director comments “with this new course, we are committed to ensuring high efficiency heat recovery ventilation plays an important role in delivering low carbon buildings. Improving the skills set within the industry is as vital as providing low carbon products and it is an area we will continue to invest in”.

The course will be run at Vent-Axia’s head office in Crawley, West Sussex, over two days. The first day will consist of theoretical work, running through the BPEC training manual with the course trainer. The second day will be practical exercises including commissioning a working MVHR system. At the end of the course, there is an open book, multiple choice assessment which each individual candidate needs to pass. The course is recognised by both HVCA and NICEIC competent persons schemes.

The new showroom and reception area will showcase Vent-Axia’s comprehensive range of technologies, including the impressive Lo-Carbon™ collection of energy saving ventilation solutions. Contractors and specifiers will be able to see models of specific innovations, including the recently launched Tempra single room heat recovery fan, the near-silent Centra and products from the company’s successful Sentinel Kinetic range. The aim of the Lo-Carbon™ initiative is to offer the latest low carbon ventilation technology to reduce building energy consumption and carbon emissions.
