Lovell has secured places on two development framework agreements – with an overall value of up to £210 million – in Scotland.

In the west, Lovell has secured a place as a contractor partner on West of Scotland Housing Association’s four-year development framework. Through the framework, the housing association is set to build new homes, with a value of up to £80 million, mainly in Glasgow, North and South Lanarkshire, East Renfrewshire and Ayrshire. The development programme will range from mainstream housing to special needs projects and could also include some commercial developments and environmental improvements.

In Edinburgh, Lovell has been selected as one of the contractors who will help Port of Leith Housing Association Consortium deliver new affordable homes, worth up to £130 milllion over the next four years. The Consortium brings together registered social landlords Port of Leith Housing Association, Cairn Housing Association, Hillcrest Housing Association and Home Scotland Housing Association. It is one of three selected preferred partners working with City of Edinburgh Council to deliver affordable housing development in the city.

“We are delighted to have been chosen for these two significant development frameworks,” says Lovell regional director Alan Taylor. “Our teams look forward to bringing their expertise in the construction of high-quality, sustainable affordable homes to these important projects.”
